ZooKeys is a peer-reviewed, open access, online and print, rapidly produced journal, launched to support free exchange of ideas, data and information in all branches of Zoology. It is one of the most dynamic and technologically advanced scholarly journals in its field. Since its launch on July 4th 2008 the journal has published approximately 560 issues, 2,500 articles and 70,000 pages. Currently, ZooKeys takes second place in Thomson Reuters’ Index of Organism names of the top 10 journals publishing the greatest number of new taxa in Zoology.
