ZooKeys launches GBIF hosted portal

ZooKeys has launched its own data portal hosted by the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). This initiative will maximise the accessibility and reusability of the zoological biodiversity data the journal publishes, in line with Pensoft’s commitment to open and democratise scientific knowledge.

Following the successful implementation of similar portals for other Pensoft journals such as the Biodiversity Data Journal, the ZooKeys GBIF hosted portal offers a dedicated platform for researchers, educators, and conservation practitioners to discover and use the extensive species occurrence and other data associated with its research articles.

This initiative underscores ZooKeys’ deep commitment to promoting open data principles and fostering a more interconnected ecosystem for biodiversity research within the zoological sciences.
