Reconstruction of ancestral groundplans of the pronotum in Lucanidae and the outgroups. The splines indicate deformation of the shapes relative to the reference configuration. The phylogenetic tree was summarized and reconstructed from earlier molecular results (Kim and Farrell 2015).
