Maximum likelihood phylogeny of all black coral families and the new family based on a 50% complete matrix containing 741 loci. Boxed taxa (blue outline) represent the new species. Ultrafast bootstrap support is 100% at all nodes except for two nodes, which are noted in the phylogeny. The phylogeny was rooted to the Leiopathidae clade based on results from Horowitz et al. (2023b).
